MANCEPT Workshops 2015

The MANCEPT Workshops in Political Theory 2014 is an annual conference in political theory, organised under the auspices of the Manchester Centre for Political Theory. This year’s conference will be the twelfth event in the series and will take place on Tuesday 1st September until Thursday 3rd September at the Arthur Lewis Building, University of Manchester. Over the last eleven years, participants from over twenty five countries have come together in a series of workshops focussing on political theory/philosophy widely construed. Last year the workshops had more than 250 delegates attending, and the conference is now established as a leading international forum dedicated to the discussion of research in political theory.

We are delighted to announce that we have accepted 27 panels this year. Please find details of the subject of each panel on the relevant pages (A-H) (I-P) (Q-Z).

Registration for the workshops is now open and can be completed here. The cost of registration is the same as last year (£220 for academics and £130 for graduate students). Registration will be open until the 25th July (after this time a late fee will be incurred).

We have, for the first time this year, 30 full bursaries available. Anyone who is not currently in full-time employment may apply and the bursary will cover the full cost of registration. The deadline to apply for a bursary will be 10th June and decisions will be made by the 15th. To apply for a bursary, please include the following information in a word document and email it to us at: – Name, Institutional Affiliation, Paper Title, Panel Title, and Reason for Application.

Further information on panels in previous year’s workshops can be found on this website or here (2013), here (2012), or here (2011).
